Every now and then you come across a very special car that has endured the laws of time and reflects the care it has received over the years by thoughtful owners. This 1974 GTV is just such a car. As an Alfa Romeo it is one of the most sought after models ever produced, the 115 series GTV. Designed by Bertone, the GTV has perfect proportions, beautiful at every angle, conveying a sense of motion even while standing still. The scenic greenhouse that encloses the stylish cabin is magnificent to look out of with delicate A and C pillars that allow the driver an almost unobstructed view to the natural world they are traveling though. 1974 was the final year for the 115 series coupe and the elegant body was not yet spoiled by DOT mandated big impact bumpers or overly restrictive emissions components. At the time the little Alfas had all the equipment one would expect of an exotic European automobile; aluminum twin cam engine, fuel injection, 5-speed gearbox, limited slip differential, power assisted 4-wheel disk brakes, sport bucket seats, full instrumentation, and a sporty exhaust note.
