1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 – TRUE SS-EQUIPPED and Low mileage Southern car with original build sheet! Recent frame-off and thorough restoration which presents itself in almost flawless condition. Factory equipped SS-396 package, NOM “CE” block (corporate exchange) with period-correct components such as a correctly date-coded Muncie M-20 4spd transmission, “CKF” 3.55 12-bolt posi-rear, performance suspension, power steering and power front disc brakes. Other factory options include the black vinyl interior with strato bucket seats and center console, correct SS dash with optional gauge package, radio, antenna and the functional Cowl Induction hood. The exterior has been beautifully finished in it’s original color-code of “Black Cherry” which boasts laser straight lines and nice gaps throughout. Many will notice the iconic SS stripe kit seems to be missing, however the decision was made to restore the car back to the way it was originally ordered, and the stripe kit WAS NOT optioned on this particular car by its first owner. (A stripe kit can however be easily installed upon the buyuer’s request for an additional charge) Even the original wheels have been restored and wrapped in the period-correct Wide Oval tires.
