1956 FORD THUNDERBIRD, OUT OF THE AMOS MINTER SHOP 10 YEARS AGO, [P] CODE 312 OPTION, AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION, SEAT BELTS, AFTER MARKET AIR CONDITIONING & POWER STEERING, AND 12 VOLT CONVERSION.
DONE IS BEAUTIFUL PEACOCK FINISH WITH MATCHING INTERIOR, AFTER MARKET AM/FM RADIO, HARD TOP WITH PORT HOLES, AND A NEW CANVAS TOP IN THE WRAPPER, MATCHING TONNAU COVER, WIRE CAPS, AND WIDE WHITE RADIAL TIRES, THIS BABY BIRD HAS BEEN GENTLY USED BY A LOCAL LADY.
FINISHED TRUNK WITH JACK AND SPARE IN PLACE.
IF YOU WOULD LIKE A BABY BIRD THAT IS MORE USER FRIENDLY THIS MAY FIT YOUR NEEDS, AC WAS NEVER A OPTION AND THE POWER STEERING IS A EXCELLENT PLUS. ALSO HAS BEEN CONVERTED TO 12 VOLTS WITH ALTERNATOR. ALL OF THESE MODIFICATIONS WERE DONE TO A HIGH STANDARD, HOSE ROUTING AND UNIT PLACEMENT ARE EXCELLENT.
IF YOUR A TRUE PURIST AND LIKE HOT RUNNING, HARD STEERING, DIM ELECTRICS ORIGINAL BIRDS THIS MAY NOT WORK FOR YOU.
THE PAINT, TRIM, AND BRIGHT WORK ARE STILL SHOW QUALITY. THE ENGINE RUNS NICE, DOES HAVE A EXTRA HIDDEN ELECTRIC FAN FOR HOT WEATHER RUNS.
THE VIN SHOWS AS A “P” CODE AND MY BOOK INDICATES THAT AS A 312 ENGINE. I ASSUME THE ENGINE IS 312 OPTION, IT IS INSURED WITH HAGERTY AS THAT OPTION.
